11/18/2018: Central Body adopts Strategic Plan for the League 10/1/2018: Inaugural issue of League newsletter is published by the Central Body 9/2/2018: Hui Aloha ʻĀina o Ka Lei Maile Aliʻi, at ʻIolani Palace, presents its popular historical drama, "The Queen's Women," a reenactment of a famous meeting held by the Women's Hawaiian Patriotic League in Hilo on September 16, 1897, in opposition to proposed annexation by the United States.
7/4/2018: On the steps of ʻIolani Palace, Hui Aloha ʻĀina o Ka Lei Maile Aliʻi co-hosts the second annual presentation of, "The Theft of a Nation," an historical reenactment of the illegal overthrow of the Hawaiian Kingdom government on January 17, 1893. This drama, well-received by the Lāhui Hawaiʻi Aloha ʻĀina (Hawaiian national body), helps kick off the month-long July celebration of Lā Hoʻihoʻi Ea (Sovereignty Restoration Day), one of the most important holidays in the Hawaiian Kingdom. 5/21/2018: Hui Aloha ʻĀina o Puna is organized, becoming the 7th Branch of the restored League. The president is a great-granddaughter of Enoch Johnson, who was the secretary of the men's League at the time of the Petition Against Annexation in 1897. 4/26/2018: Hui Aloha ʻĀina o Ka Lei Maile Aliʻi launches website for the Richard Kekuni Blaisdell Hawaiian National Archive 3/11/2018, 3/18/2018: Central Body and District Branches hold a mass meeting to begin developing a Strategic Plan for the League 1/28/2018: Central Body adopts a resolution in support of a project proposal submitted by historian Dr. Ronald Williams, Jr. and member Justin Hill, to produce a manuscript history of the League from 1893 to present, with estimated timeline to completion of four years, 2018 to 2022 1/8/2018: Central Body distributes media release in support of the 125th commemoration of the illegal overthrow of the Hawaiian Kingdom government on January 17
