​8/4/2017-8/6/2017: The first Annual Convention of the League in more than a century was centered at the Kanaʻina Building on the grounds of ʻIolani Palace. Meetings were held with 22 Delegates assembled from the 6 chartered Branches, under the supervision of a credentialed parliamentarian. The Branches introduced 32 resolutions, of which 31 were adopted. The object of the League bylaws was amended to read as follows:

​The object of this League shall be to affirm the continuity of Hawaiian independence; to restore Hawaiian national identity; to exert all peaceful and legal efforts to secure for the Hawaiian People and Citizens their Civil Rights; and to ensure that the United States of America complies with international humanitarian law.​

The 9 officers of the Central Body were elected at the Convention as prescribed by the bylaws.

The first day of the Convention began with tributary visits, led Dr. Lynette Cruz as tour guide, to the final resting places of James Kaulia and Kuaihelani Campbell--founding patriots of the original League--at Oʻahu Cemetery, then to the final resting place of Hawaiian Kingdom monarchs at Mauna ʻAla (Royal Mausoleum), followed by a tour of ʻIolani Palace that included a special visit to the Queen's bedroom. The evening concluded with remarks by historian Dr. Ron Williams, Jr., and the Queen's Women historical reenactment directed by Hui Aloha ʻĀina o Ka Lei Maile Aliʻi.

The second day of the Convention began with an Overview of Parliamentary Procedure in Hawaiian History, presented by Keokani Marciel, credentialed parliamentarian.

The third day of the Convention began with attendance at the headstone dedication ceremony for Hon. William Pūnohuʻāweoweoʻulaokalani White, by Dr. Ron Williams, Jr., beginning at the Bernice Pauahi Bishop Museum and concluding at the final resting place of the historic Hawaiian patriot. The evening concluded with a presentation by Dr. Keanu Sai on the ongoing state of war between the United States and the Hawaiian Kingdom.

7/15/2017: KAHAA chartered six (6) District Branches:

• Hawaiʻi: Hui Aloha ʻĀina o Hilo, Hui Aloha ʻĀina o Waimea
• Oʻahu: Hui Aloha ʻĀina​ o Honolulu, Hui Aloha ʻĀina​ o Ka Lei Maile Aliʻi
• Kauaʻi: Hui Aloha ʻĀina​ o Anahola
• Moku Honu: Hui Aloha ʻĀina​ o Las Vegas

​3/4/2017: Ka ʻAhahui Hawaiʻi Aloha ʻĀina (KAHAA) (Hawaiian Patriotic League) was restored by the Interim Council as a revision of its own bylaws previously adopted on 8/13/2016

1/17/2017: Hui Aloha ʻĀina o Waimea was formally organized to expand awareness of the League through quarterly meetings held in Waimea, as well as the neighboring communities of Honokaʻa and North Kohala,

​1/14/2017: Interim Council adopted a Code of Ethics for Hawaiian Patriots

1/4/2017: League ​Resolution Against U.S. Federal Recognition was sent to U.S. President, Barrack Obama, and U.S. Secretary of State, John Kerry, but no reply was ever received
